Bien Seramik is the member of the Ercan Group Companies operating in the ceramic, porcelain, tourism and mining sectors in Turkey. It is known in Turkey and around the world. Bien has three factories in Bilecik which is one of the cities rich in mining which has an important place in the porcelain sector, there are factories, dealers and representatives in every province throughout the country.
The company, which exports to many countries of the world, is one of the first 500 companies in Turkey. Despite this, it has many competitors and aims to expand its market share with television / magazine / billboard / football match advertisements like its competitors.
Despite being well-known in Turkey, there were shortcomings in the fact that its products were sufficiently known and preferred. In particular, they wanted users and architects to know that a well-established company and a strong holding are within his body. For this reason, they cared that the website to be built should be impressive and associated with other member companies. With the new factory it has recently purchased, it has started to produce armature, ceramic sanitary wares, bathroom and shower systems also has expanded its staff in this direction. A large number of series for the bathroom, kitchen and outdoors have reached a large number of products on these series.
It was important that Bien's website, which has different dimensions according to the usage options of the products, appeals to all types of users. However, it was important for architects and contractors to provide the necessary information, to be easily accessible, to be at the top of the Google search engine in product searches, and to be accessible to their customers with the dealership system throughout the country.

With Turkey's influence in the mining processing and construction sectors, Bien Seramik had to highlight its designs, explain to its target audience that it is a world brand, and direct them to its dealers in order to stand out from many strong competitors in this sector. For this purpose, a global website was designed, in which it was explained that the Bien brand now serves not only in ceramics but also in many areas of faucets and construction. The two main areas on this website, 'ceramic' and ‘bath’, had to take up a large amount of space on the screen. This site should have demonstrated its global strength and that the company is one of the leading companies in the market.
Each category of this products should have been size and component available for the target audience on two separate sites, which can also be accessed through this site. The interface designs of these sites should be similar, so that the similarity of the sites should be easy to use, even if they are reached at different times.
For Bien Seramik, the customer had to choose the product according to the their areas in which it would be used, and then decide on the collection, model, color and size in detail with filters.
While looking for the kitchen with an area where he can easily see other products from the same collection, he could also consider choosing bathroom products or a floor covering for his garden. Collections that are similar to each other should come together, products with reduced production should be passive on the site, there should be an area on the homepage for the announcements of the products in the commercial, Instagram accounts that highlight designs and living spaces should be dynamically placed on the homepage, and it should be a living site.
As a company representative and project manager, I took part in the sales and agreement stages. I made a draft of the work to be done in line with the briefs from the company, I made a presentation to the board of directors with sample designs. I prepared a work plan and ensured that it was complied with.
I coordinated the creation of animations and motions and the coding process with the approval of the prepared designs. I ensured that the products were placed correctly. I tested the site, fixed the errors and made the final presentation to the board.
There should have been enough information about the product details, but too much technical information could disturb the end user. For this purpose, a 'Professionals' section was created with technical documents and product details. In this area, which was entered by becoming a member, architects would be able to find more technical information when choosing products.
On the other hand, Bien Banyo site had a completely different filtering. In addition to product design, compatibility was also gaining importance. More information should have been included in the product detail.
Considering the user target audience, the user habits were researched, and the most preferred products/features of the competitors were researched. As a result of this research, care was taken to ensure that the design is more innovative and user-friendly in terms of technical possibilities, and it is easy to find the desired style among thousands of products by avoiding confusing information with a short website and an attractive welcome screen.
Both sites should be attractive and useful, emphasizing their strength in the sector, and at the same time, the customer should be able to easily reach the product they want among thousands of products, understand the difference between the two products and reach the nearest dealer.
